Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer New Trailer with Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba is hot. If don't believe me see my last post about her getting the top slot in the FHM 100 sexiest females list.

I hated the first Fantastic Four. I didn't even pay to see it and I still wanted to walk out. Alba was about the only thing worth watching in that crap fest.

So here we are a few years later and part 2 has arrived. I gotta admit this trailer actually looks interesting. Doom is nowhere to be scene and Alba looks hot as ever, even with that fake blonde hair... I just hope they fixed Thing's foam costume. It was so bad looking in the close up's in that first movie...

Jessica Alba tops FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2007

FMH has posted their list of the world's sexiest women. Jessica Alba (starring in the upcoming Fantastic Four sequel) won the top spot and it's really not a surprise as to why!

Salma Hayek isn't even in the top 10?!

That's pretty whack if you ask me!

Interestingly IMdB shows Hayden as having been working since 1968! Check it out...

They need to check their listings better.

Hayden Panettiere and Heroes Returns TONIGHT!!

Haden Panettiere and Heroes return tonight at 9pm eastern time and I gotta say, despite the sometimes weak plots and filler episodes I'm pretty excited. The show has gotten so much better - if it wasn't for Hayden and Hiro I would have stopped watching after the first episode.

Ali Larter does a great job with her far out character as well - I'm surious as to where they are going with her. I thought she was headed for straight villiany but it seems they pulled back on that a bit.

Heroes Season 2 is also garunteed and creator Tim Kring has stated that there will be a whole new storyline and new characters next year. Some of the favorites will be back of course, but over all it will be very different.

Kring said in an interview. “Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story.”

Kring added: “We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it’s not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It’s a little more the 24 model than the Lost model.” [source]

I'm glad the creators are not just going for a LOST rip-off and they are actually trying to do something different.

I do happen to hate the marketing for this show though... they pose one liner questions that they don't answer.. even in the episodes that promise the answers (like Save The Cheerleader, Save The World). So I wonder...

Will we finally get an answer to WHY saving this cheerleader would save the world?

Wachowskis and Christina Ricci do Speed...

'Speed Racer' that is. Turns out the Wachowski's ('Matrix Trilogy') are making a live action Speed Racer movie and they just cast Christina Ricci in the flick. ComingSoon.net is reporting that Emile Hirsch, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman are also on board.

'Speed Racer' centers on a young race car driver, Speed (Hirsch), and his quest for glory in his thundering, gadget-laden vehicle Mach 5. Ricci will star as Speed's girlfriend Trixie, his formidable ally on and off the track.

I had heard they were making this but I didn't know who was directing it. Having the Brothers Wachowski aboard makes me pretty excited and adding Christina Ricci is even better. Goodman and Sarandon seem like strange choices however. Well we at least know that the movie will have insanely high production values and excellent cinematography.

The brothers are aiming for a May 9th 2008 release. So far away!!

Rachel Weisz leaves The Mummy 3

It's been 6 years since the last Meh-fest that was the Mummy sequel. Somehow I ended up paying to see that movie in the theater. Ok I admit it was really only to watch Rachel Weisz. I'd see anything she was in although, and I smack myself on a daily basis - I missed 'The Fountain'.

So I guess I'll be passing on the Mummy 3... because she's off the project as Variety is reporting today.

Brendan Fraiser is still attached and Jet Li is coming on as the bad guy in the flick. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Mummy is set for a summer 2008 release. Rob Cohen of X-Files fame is directing this time around so maybe it won't suck AS much... he has good ideas.

Rachel have no fear will return in the upcoming "The Brothers Bloom" and Phillip Noyce's Outback drama "Dirt Music".

Rose McGowan's latest Grindhouse, to be split in two?!

Ok so I understand that the movie didn't do as well as the execs over at Miramax expected but I ask two questions:

How much money can an over the top, purposefully bad horror movie make?

Why would they release this flick on EASTER?

I can only imagine they thought the over hyped film would work against the family movie outings that weekend and pull it's audience regardless. Ok, sure I might buy that idea... but you still have to convince people to see a 3 hour schlock horror movie.

I know, it's bad on purpose. But most people don't seem to get that. I talked to folks that thought the 'bad film' scratches and effects were overdone and distracting and others just didn't seem to get the concept at all.

Now, to completely destroy the concept Miramax is considering that the film be cut into. They imagine that by seperating 'Death Proof' from 'Planet Terror' they will do better at the box office.

This will worsen the situation in my opinion - the strength of 'Grindhouse' is it's gimic... 2 movies, from 2 popular directors... split them up and it's 2 bad movies from good directors. It kills the whole idea so I wonder what they'll do when that doesn't work.

They should have released these movies AFTER Easter... Grandma doesn't want to watch Zombies after church on Easter sunday... she wants to watch Meet the Robinsons or Ice Cube falling off ladders.

My suggestion? Rose McGowan. Get her out there and in some more scandals. She already stole Robert Rodriguez from his long time wife and producer... meh onto the pics:

Halle Berry, the first African-American to win the Best Actress oscar has agreed to go bald for her next film "Nappily Ever After". Is that really the title?! CNN says so.

Lots of head shaving going around lately.... Britney, Halle... who's next? Ok, so Britney wasn't completely bald but still. Halle will at least still be hot.
