I never thought I'd be so unexcited to see an X-Files movie. The trailers looked good enough and I followed the leaked pics and rumors.... but now that the release date has come and gone I'm just not rushing out to see it... maybe it's the bad reviews, maybe it's the fact that The Dark Knight kicked so much ass nothing could come close... Gillian Anderson Pictures from the Set of X-Files 2

Well now I really believe it. They are actually making a sequel to the X-Files film. It had been rumored and hinted at for SO long I just stopped having any faith and refused to believe the new rumors until pics from the set surfaced and here they are. Gillian Anderson looks great, David Duchovny looks typically unemotional and I really can't wait to the film.

Anyone wanna start guessing what the title's going to be?

Looks like Xzibit and Amanda Peet are on broad for this installment and I'm hearing that *SPOILERS*werewolves are involved*END SPOILERS*.

Mulder and Scully: Will X-Files 2 Actually Happen?

Cinematical is reporting that David Duchovny has mentioned the X-Files sequel as being close to final negotiations. It's been almost 10 years since the first movie and the general consensus among fans is that the show ripped them off...

Duchovny isn't a stupid person. Of course he's going to throw out some answer when asked about X Files 2. It generates some press and keeps people talking about him. I doubt anyone has seriously discussed this sequel at the industry level in a long, long time. He's blowing steam knowing the press will run with it and they do... everytime.

The best X-Files episodes IMO were the ones that didn't further the Mythology along. I would watch a reboot of the show if they stayed away from the drawn out mythology stuff and stuck to a great sci-fi, each episode is it's own story' kind of deal.

They could even bring Scully (Gillian Anderson) back...
